Tailored treatments for every property

Start with a damp survey

At Cotswold Treatments, we begin every project with a clear plan tailored to your property. Once your damp survey has been completed and the recommended work has been instructed, the treatment process can begin. The survey findings and agreed specification guide each stage of the work, ensuring we follow the correct approach for your property.

Remove contaminated plaster and treat walls

Salt-contaminated plaster is carefully removed back to the substrate, extending to at least 1 metre above the visible damp line. The exposed masonry is then prepared for treatment.

Cotswold Treatments installs a chemical damp-proof course by drilling the masonry at set intervals and injecting specialist damp-proofing cream under low pressure. Once fully cured, it forms a continuous chemical barrier designed to prevent further rising moisture.

Reinstate and finish the plaster

After the damp-proof course has been installed, the exposed masonry is re-rendered using the method specified in your report and agreed upon before work begins.

A final skim coat is then applied using the recommended products. This creates a smooth, even surface that is ready for decoration once the work has fully dried and cured.

Throughout the process, the work follows the recommendations set out in your damp survey, helping ensure each stage is completed to the agreed specification. Contact us today to arrange your damp treatment.
